The butterfly effect
the play of colours and techniques
Brief : Replicate the inspiration image on surface through different types of printing and embroidery.

Inspiration : Drawing inspiration from self-created artwork, one can expand into various surface development techniques. This involves translating the original design into methods such as lino printing, embroidery, and screen printing, each adding unique textures and dimensions to the artwork, thus enhancing its visual and tactile appeal.

This project was carried out at the The Design Village, Noida, India in Semester 3.
Embroidery
Embroidery is a craft involving needle and thread to decorate fabric with designs, patterns, or images. This art form can be highly intricate, adding texture, color, and depth to textiles.

Lino printing
Lino printing, also known as linocut, is a printmaking technique where a design is carved into a linoleum surface. The carved linoleum block is then inked and pressed onto fabric to transfer the design.

Screen printing
Screen printing, also known as silk screening, is a versatile printing technique used to transfer designs onto various surfaces such as fabric, paper, and other materials. This process involves creating a stencil, or screen, and using it to apply layers of ink onto the printing surface.
