"How can we make unsold products from the Galeries Lafayette brand desirable in a "NEW COOL" spirit?

The collaboration project is part of the Circular Fashion Month which is in the spotlight in May at the Galeries Lafayette in Toulouse, as well as throughout France.
 
For this collaboration, we worked on the basis of unsold pieces, knitwear pieces from Galeries Lafayette's own brand in order to sublimate and rework them through upcycling, visible mending, re-knitting, embroidery, among others.
 
The goal was to "make them desirable" by giving them a look that matches the "NEW COOL" spirit with a strong aesthetic that surprises customers. Indeed, the New Cool symbolizes this new way of dressing by mixing several pieces of different origin and influence, in order to create a clean and unique style, which can combine hot pieces with summer ones or oversized with mini.

To do this, the young people were invited to use different techniques covered during the visible mending module, those acquired around upcycling in general, as well as their knowledge around knitting, crochet, embroidery or machine. They were accompanied by Margot Palacci, Knit Designer and Founder of the Margot retro Deco shop in Montauban.
